Gonadotropin Treatments for Infertility

Gonadotropins are protein hormones secreted by the pituitary gland.  The two main gonadotropins are called luteinizing hormone (LH) and follicle stimulating hormone.   After the pituitary gland produces gonadotropins, they trigger the production of other sex hormones.  Gonadotropins therefore play a part in egg production, in women, and sperm production, in men.
